Generally, nursing homes provide seniors with board and care that includes:
Nursing homes are residential places for people who can no longer live independently like our senior loved ones. They provide the most extensive care anyone can get outside a hospital. Nursing homes offer a larger resident capacity compared to other senior living options.
Placement Helpers will be happy to orient our clients and their families about what nursing homes can offer and what makes them ideal for our clients’ situations.
Nursing Homes are skilled medical facilities where patients with a high level of care requirement receive treatment from qualified, licensed professionals. Doctors and nurses will be on staff to provide supervision and attention to medical needs. Patients will also receive routine help with their activities of daily living. Many patients at a nursing home will be there for a short term to receive doctor-ordered rehabilitation therapy after a hospital stay. Nursing homes also provide “custodial care” (non-skilled care that focuses on activities of daily living) to patients who receive Medi-Cal/Medicaid.
